Child Care Assistant Director
The YWCA seeks a creative, energetic person to assist in the development, provision and supervision of child care programming at multiple before-and-after school sites and full day summer child care programs. Full-time with benefits including paid time off, health & dental insurance, retirement, etc. BA degree in education, recreation, child development or a related field and one-year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Youth and Family Services Summer Program Assistant
The YWCA seeks a creative, energetic individual for part-time position to assist
in planning and facilitating our youth development program for middle school
girls and our parent education and support program.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED; experience
working in group setting preferred, strong communication and teamwork skills
required. Program hours 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 20–25 hours
per week during the summer. $15.00/hour. Must pass

Family Center Child Care Provider
The YWCA seeks individuals for part-time position providing child care for
children aged infant through 10 years while their parents participate in YWCA
English Class or parenting programs. Flexible work schedule with morning,
afternoon and early evening hours available. Current hours needed are Tuesday
and Thursday mornings: Monday and Wednesday late afternoon and evening hours.
Approximately 6-10 hours a week.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED; ability to
relate effectively and positively with children, parents, and YWCA staff;
ability to regularly bend, stoop, pick up and lift babies and toddlers.

Y’s Kids On Site Childcare Supervisor
This is a seasonal, academic year position. This position primarily responsible for directing a school age child care program. Depending on site placement, this may also include an early childhood/Head Start Wrap Around program. With support from the Child Care Directors and Assistant Child Care Director, the On Site Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of maintaining a quality, safe, caring environment in the before and after school programs. Qualifications: Education and experience in a field related to children and youth, Must be currently certified (or become certified within 30 days of employment in First aid, AED, CPR, Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse, Universal Precautions, Hazardous Materials, as well as obtaining yearly continuing education hours as related to the school age field, Must successfully pass the State of Iowa criminal records background check for childcare providers.
